Swimmers across the North America in Coney Island, Florida, and Canada gathered off the east coast in their swimming trunks and costumes on New Year's Day for the charity event. About 3, swimmers met at the Coney Island boardwalk this afternoon before plunging into the frigid Atlantic Ocean. Swimmers were sporting costumes, New Year's party props, and even made a toast to the new year on the shore.
